It was the biggest draw for months and players right across the nine participating European countries were out in force to buy tickets. Yes it was the Euromillions Mega Jackpot and it was worth €100 million.
An unbelievable amount of cash and hundreds of millions of tickets were purchased in the hope of winning the big jackpot. In the event, just two tickets shared the jackpot and each of those players scooped €50 million each. Yes €50 million, an unbelievable amount of cash by anyone’s standards and one of the biggest jackpots the lottery has given away. It far exceeded the biggest win every by a British Lottery player, that was £38 million whereas €50 million equates to around £45 million.
So who was it? Who were the lucky players who scooped the massive jackpot? The only details we have so far is that it was one player from France and one from Austria and each of those very lucky players took home €50 million each.
It seems the winners will have little to worry about any more and they certainly won’t be suffering with the current economic crisis, in fact the only worry they might have is which bank to risk depositing their massive wins into!
